VVCC Fall Semester Begins: Check Map for Construction Detours

Simone Graham – Editor: VVC College: Fall semester students are detouring around construction underway for the new One-Stop Student Services Center to find first-day parking. Students and others driving through campus will encounter several road detours and closures throughout the Victor Valley College main campus.

A new Parking Lot (Parking Lot C) has been added in front of the Child Development Center.

A copy of the new Campus Map can be found at http://www.vvc.edu/maps/ that outlines the new parking lot signage and traffic flow. This project will be under construction a little over a year and will allow for all Student Services to be housed in a single One-Stop location.

In order to facilitate a better flow of traffic as well as expedite getting around on campus, the following campus entrances may better serve you in your travel on campus:

I. Enter from Jacaranda Avenue & Bear Valley Road
Building Nos. 50, 51 (A, B, C), 52, 53, 54 & 55

II. Enter from Spring Valley Lake Parkway & Bear Valley Road
Building Nos. 10, 10A, 11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 31, 32, 32(A, B, C) & 33

III. Enter from Fish Hatchery Road & Bear Valley Road
Building Nos. 40, 41, 42, 44, 60, 60(A, B, C), 61, 62, 63, 64, 65,
66A, 66B, 67, 67A, 70, 71, 72, 75, and 80

Finally, as the college operates during the first week of classes, there may be a need to modify the current traffic pattern. If that is necessary, the Campus Police Department will update the campus community of the changes.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter and if you have any questions regarding the traffic detours and closures, please feel free to contact the Campus Police Department:

(760) 245-4271 ext. 2329.
